Co. operates three exploration concessions and are primarily conducted through its oil and gas producing subsidiary Zhaikmunai LLP located in Kazakhstan. Zhaikmunai LLP carries out its activities in accordance with the Contract for Additional Exploration, Production and Production-Sharing of Crude Hydrocarbons in the Chinarevskoye oil and gas condensate field for the exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Chinarevskoye oil and gas condensate field.
Pennon Group is an environmental infrastructure company in the U.K. Co. operates two businesses: water and wastewater, and waste management. As of Mar 31 2017, Co.'s water and wastewater business provided water and wastewater services to a population of 1.7 million in Cornwall, Devon and parts of Dorset and Somerset and water only services to 500,000 in parts of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. At its waste management business, Co.'s Viridor Limited subsidiary is a recycling, energy recovery and waste management company, and at Mar 31 2017 provided services to more than 150 local authorities and corporate clients as well as over 32,000 customers across the U.K.
Persimmon is a holding company, engaged in house building, constructing a range of homes across England, Scotland and Wales. Co. trades under the brand names of: Persimmon Homes, which delivers a range of new homes from apartments to large family homes throughout the U.K.; Charles Church, which complements Persimmon by delivering executive housing in premium locations across the U.K.; Westbury Partnerships, which focuses on affordable social housing. Co. sells these homes to housing associations across the U.K.; and Space4, which operates an offsite manufacturing plant producing insulated wall panels and roof cassettes as a fabric first solution to the construction of new homes.

Premier Oil is an exploration and production company with oil and gas interests in the North Sea, South East Asia, Pakistan, the Falkland Islands and Latin America. Co.'s operations are located and managed in six business units; namely the Falkland Islands, Indonesia, Pakistan (including Mauritania), Vietnam, the U.K. and the Rest of the World. Co. is active both offshore and onshore, but all of its operated interests are located offshore. As of Dec 31 2016, Co. had oil, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and gas developed and undeveloped reserves of 353.3 million barrels of oil equivalent, which consisted of 255.2 million barrels of oil and NGLs and 533.10 billion cubic feet of gas.

In Mali, Co. has an 80% controlling interest in the Loulo mine through Societe des Mines de Loulo SA. The Loulo mine is mining from two underground mines. Co. owns 50% of Morila Limited, which in turn owns 80% of Societe des Mines de Morila SA, the owner of the Morila mine in Mali. In addition, Co. owns an effective 89.7% controlling interest in the Tongon mine located in the neighboring country of Cote d'Ivoire.

Co. also provides electrical and mechanical contracting and related services to the construction industry and end users. Co. is organised geographically into four regional divisions: London and South East, Central and South West, the North and Scotland.

Co.'s reportable segments reflect the two distinct activities around which Co. is organized: Customer Acquisition, which comprises sales of equipment including mobile phone handsets and wireless internet routers to customers; and Customer Management, which includes the supply of fixed telephony, mobile telephony, gas, electricity, internet services and home insurance to residential and small business customers.

Tullow Oil is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company. Co.'s focus is on finding oil in Africa and South America. Co.'s primary activities include targeted exploration and appraisal, selective development projects and growing its production. As of Dec 31 2017, Co.'s portfolio included 90 licences in 16 countries. Co.'s operations are organized into three business delivery teams: West Africa; East Africa; and New Ventures. As of Dec 31 2017, on a working interest basis, Co. had commercial reserves of 245.7 million barrels of oil, 268.90 billion cubic feet of gas, and 290.5 million barrels of oil equivalent (petroleum).

Volution Group has two business segments: Ventilation Group and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) (Torin-Sifan Limited (Torin-Sifan)).
