Hexagon AB (Buy, TP: SEK550.00) - Confirming our positive view

Although Hexagon’s Q1 report was on the soft side, we believe it supports our positive case. The softness was essentially related to a temporary issue in an isolated part of the business (guided to stabilise in Q2 and return to growth in H2). The CEO stressed his confidence in the company’s continued growth and profitability despite uncertainty regarding the global economy. We keep our BUY and have raised our target price to SEK550 (535).

Hexagon AB (Buy, TP: SEK535.00) - No room for disappointment

We see little room for error in the Q1 results with the shares up 18% YTD (7%-points better than OMXS 30) and the CEO’s optimistic outlook in Q4. We expect Q1 organic growth of 3.7% YOY and believe consensus (4.8%) fails to reflect Safety & Infrastructure’s weak performance and Manufacturing Intelligence’s slower growth. We reiterate our BUY, but have raised our target price to SEK535 (510).

Hexagon AB (Buy, TP: SEK490.00) - Solid momentum – tougher comps

We believe that good momentum in most end-markets will have continued in Q4 but expect the tougher YOY comparable figures and continued issues in Safety & Infrastructure to hurt growth. Having cut our 2019e organic growth to 4.7%, we see some downside risk to consensus’ 5.9% figure, but still carry a BUY on Hexagon as we still like the long-term investment case, with a 9% EPS CAGR over 2019–2021e. Our target price has been cut to SEK490 (540).

Hexagon AB (Hold, TP: SEK560.00) - Q3 a risk despite solid end markets

We believe that good momentum in most end-markets will have continued but see downside risk to Hexagon’s organic growth in Q3 (we are 100bp below consensus) as consensus does not reflect the different dynamics of new product launches this year. A continued recovery in the PPM division could be a potential positive swing factor in Q3, both in growth and if margin drop-through improves from Q2. We reiterate our HOLD recommendation and SEK560 target price.
